We are in Lane Cove, five minutes from the village, at 2 Austin Street — the building directly opposite the Lane Cove Library, a few metres off Longueville Road.
Appointments here are longer than most, so it is worth knowing what the hour is for. The room is quiet, there is no rush, and the first appointment is mostly conversation and examination rather than treatment. People are often surprised how much of it is questions.
Getting here: parking behind the library, buses along Longueville Road, St Leonards station with a short bus or a downhill walk. If access matters, ask when you book and we will describe it accurately rather than saying it is fine.
The building holds several practitioners in different disciplines, and that is deliberate. It means a referral across the corridor instead of a phone number, and it means we can talk to each other about someone with their permission. It also means the waiting area is busier than a single-practitioner clinic, which some people like and some do not.
The nearest alternative if Lane Cove is the wrong side of the bridge is Freshwater, about fourteen kilometres away across the Spit. Hunters Hill and Chatswood are both close to Lane Cove and a good deal quicker to reach than anything on the Northern Beaches.
Bring your medication list — including vitamins and anything bought online, because those are the ones people forget and interactions are real — any imaging reports or specialist letters, recent blood results if you have them, and for anything cyclical, three months of dates. An hour goes much further when you are not reconstructing the history from memory.
