A lot of what walks in here has been normalised for years, usually because nobody asked and the person assumed everybody felt like this. Period pain that needs time off work. Bleeding heavy enough to plan a day around. Pain with sex. Bladder leaking after children. Exhaustion in the fortnight before a period. None of those are normal, all have names, and most have treatment.

So the first thing a long appointment does is separate normal from common. Common means lots of people have it. Normal means it needs no attention, and these do.

What we push people towards. Endometriosis assessment where the pain pattern fits — and Australian guidance now supports earlier referral. Iron studies with heavy bleeding, because anaemia explains the fatigue and the fog and is easily missed. A pelvic health physiotherapist for leaking, prolapse symptoms or pain with sex, which is a specific and effective referral that far too few people get. And a proper menopause conversation with a GP rather than enduring perimenopause.

Cervical screening on time is the single highest-value item, and self-collection is available now for anyone who has been putting it off.

What we work on alongside that: sleep, pain, digestion across the cycle, and the practical business of what to track and what to ask. The clinic is in Lane Cove, five minutes from the village.
