What we use them for

Practical things: hours, closures, the occasional piece about sleep, stress or movement. A noticeboard rather than a clinic.

Why a message is the wrong place for your question

Because of how this practice works. Looking at the whole picture means asking about sleep, the shape of your day, what you eat, what you take and what changed around the time the problem started. None of that fits in a message, and an answer given without it is not a shorter version of the real answer — it is a different thing entirely.

So a clinical question gets an invitation to ring. Not a brush-off: it is the only answer worth having.

Bookings

By phone. A message asking to change a time can sit unread for days, and we would rather you were not waiting on one.

What not to put in a comment

Health details. They are public and permanent, and people share far more in a comment than they would say out loud in a waiting room. We delete them when we notice.

Reviews

Welcome, including critical ones, and we never ask for one to be removed. We cannot discuss anyone's care in a public reply, so our answers to clinical reviews are short by necessity.

Out of hours

000 for an emergency, healthdirect 1800 022 222 for advice at any hour. These accounts are not watched at night.
